Blowfish duo throw a gem
Andy Hawkins took to the mound yesterday trying to halt a second half slide that has knocked the Blowfish off their perch as a world series contender. By the end of the day Hawkins and Piper Ponson had combined to no-hit the O Faces and regain some momentum for their struggling team. The reigning Cy Young pitcher lasted six inning giving up four free passes and striking out another four. Ponson took the ball in the bottom of the seventh and pitched three perfect innings to finish the gem. Neil Hill hit his 52nd homerun insupport of their efforts. The Blowfish manager applauded the efforts of his two pitcher and stated that he hopes it would builds some team confidence as the season winds down.
